by HonestReviews, 7 years ago9-11-25: another "recommended" mozilla addon that is so unstable and only works well about 50% of the time. The rest of the time you're gonna wanna take a lot of coffee breaks waiting for this crap addon to load any list over 100 entries. Can't consistently load options properly or even load at all. No easy way to save entries that don't disappear with cache delete. no way to load entries across browsers. another junk
"recommended" addon by mozilla. why do these pretend developers waste our time with their learning how to code?
5-17-25:.stopped working on my brave browser with message to upgrade mybrowser.
4-1-25: has gotten extremely slow to load to the point of being unusable. Cannot handle large lists. system cache clearling results in your losing your tab list.Developer is no longer developing. Offers no way to easily save and edit tab lists. Share button is too close to import/export resulting in shares you did not click on.
5-2-23: Slow as hell. autoway to save tabs to backup file. Sometimes requires restart to get it to display the tabs. Another example of an addon with great potential that needs a developer that can deliver. Need to add auto save to addon.
11-25-22: what can you say about an addon that has such promise but comes up short. Does not work on epic browser-requires constant enable with each use to get the list. VER.Y SLOW in putting up the list on multiple browsers including ffox. makes your links into "SHARES" instead of just saving them like you asked. then you have to delete the share and make a new list again. buggy. inconsistent button implementation. No feature to saving your list, you have to do it manually. No user guide worth mentioning. Just another "recommended" clunky rather junky addon. better that bookmarks, but that's not saying much.
10-2-22 does not load with epic browser, won't work properly on most browsers, slow or unable to load it, requires disabling and re-enabling. Cannot save your links to plain text, cannot backup your links, another script kiddie addon from people who really cannot program.
9-2-22: THE MOST annoying thing about this "recommended" pos is that you constantly have to deactivate it and then reactivate it to get the dam POS to load the entries. A royal PITA to use it. Takes forever to load the entries and sometimes autodeletes them even when you set it to lock them. Like most of the "recommended" addons here, just goest to show how meaningless Mozilla's "recommendations" are. Lacks proper instruction and notice on how to adjust it's settings. Why can't "developers" write programs that JUST WORK???
8-1-22: The developers of this app are either lazy or not very competent. They hardly ever fix bugs, like your needing to deactivate and reactivate one tab to get it to show the saved tabs. No way to autosave your tab page. cannot set tabs to autolock so you have to do it manually each time. Another "recommended" addon that never quite works well.
6-25-22: Buggy. Won't load in many cases you have to disable and reenable it to get it to load and it's SLOW in loading. Should be able to "LOCK" site urls with a universal setting, now you have to do it individually. Slow to load, slow to work, the keyword is SLOWWWWW. Probably spyware, aren't they all? Save your urls manually has no way to do that from withing program. If the program loses them you are uked.
12-11-21 updates: auto opens second window without user input. cannot connect to tor as a result. Lost many tabs saved for no apparent reason. recommend you manually backup any important tabs. Have to disable it frequently to use tor or to prevent problems with it opening a second browser window w/out input. Needs work.

posted 7 hours agoHi, we've checked the Firefox source code, and Firefox will not evict any OneTab data due to low disk space.
The problem is probably that you are running some kind of privacy cleaner or system cleaner software which is trying to evict Firefox data, and is wiping extension data (including OneTab) at the same time. 'BleachBit' and 'Advanced SystemCare' are known to do this.- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19045605, 2 days agoFirefox Donot even try! Once it is activated there is noway to get back to your original tab layout unless you have backed up Firefox! I was able to get it back because I also using Simple Tag Groups and was able to restore over 1600 tabs using the Simple Tab Groups backup/restore.

posted 7 hours agoHi, you can do what you're describing.
By default, if you use Firefox tab groups, then each tab group will be stored separately, and can be restored separately.
If you want to store a whole window full of tab groups, and have the entire window restore at once with all of the tab groups inside, then you can do this by going to OneTab Options and choosing the "Send the current window to OneTab, including all tabs and tab groups" option. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18549406, 2 days ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by mtntech, 21 days agoHundreds of tabs up and disappeared. This is happening to a lot of users. OneTab Team says that is it Firefox doing it. Either way, this app is not compatible with Firefox. Do not use if you value your time and effort.

posted 19 days agoI'm sorry this happened. The problem isn't Firefox, it's software such as privacy cleaners, or disk corruptions, that can corrupt Firefox's data stores.
The solution is to either ensure that your regular backup software (that keeps your files safe) also backs up your Firefox profile folder, or to use our upcoming encrypted cloud sync and backup feature. - Rated 5 out of 5by yogi, 25 days ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Koiebe, a month agoNB! DO NOT USE THIS GARBAGE OF an addon. Yesterday received some update and today months of work is gone forever - no DB backup no nothing! It is not coded well at all!
I DID not refreshed my Firefox, neither did some kind of cleaning of the browser or Windows whatsoever.
What a f%#king shame !!!
I do not see any reason why is recommended app by Firefox, when I read that clearly I'm not the only one affected.
And please developers, don't say it is Firefox fault. It is not the only add-on we use. You can read firefox code, and fix your own!Developer response
posted a month agoHi, I'm sorry you lost your tabs.
What happened was not a bug in OneTab. Firefox profiles can become corrupted, and then there is nothing we can do on our end.

posted 2 months agoHi, I'm sorry this happened. It's definitely not a bug in our code, though. Something is wiping Firefox's internal storage - it's pretty much impossible for us to accidentally write code that would suddenly just wipe the entire contents of the storage and then delete the entire OneTab database after that.
Some "privacy cleaner" software will wipe Firefox data, or it could have been a crash causing a disk write error that corrupted the storage areas. Firefox's "Refresh" feature also wipes clean the extension storage. Being low on disk space when the browser is trying to write to its databases can also cause corruption.- Rated 5 out of 5by Rio Chandra, 2 months agoI love this. It restore my RAM instantly (because all tabs are closed and save the link). Web version is easy to use, instant response, drag-n-drop everywhere. I suggest add Ctrl+z (cmd+z) to undo previous action (if user accidently delete link. Also I suggest add right-click action to directory for easy quick-action.
Overall, I love it. thank you for you all effort.Developer response
posted 2 months agoThanks, Rio :) We'll be implementing an undo feature in the future, especially to be able to undo move operations. Please also contact us at one-tab.com/feedback as we'd love to get more detail on the quick actions you're referring to so we can ensure we're building the right thing. - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 15161687, 2 months agoStill having catastrophic data loss every few months. Been this way for years. Garbage

- Rated 5 out of 5by sdfds, 2 months agoit worked very well for me till some of the last updates, now when I open it via context menu the tab appears as the pinned leftmost one, and I have to perform a few additional clicks to unpin it and place as the rightmost one, where I usually need it. I just hope the developers will return the usual behavior of this function. All the rest features work well for my needs, thank you guys!

posted 2 months agoHi, do you remember recently being asked if you want to "Refresh Firefox"? This is a prompt shown to you when you upgrade to a new Firefox version (there is a new Firefox version released every month). This feature, confusingly, wipes clean all add-on storage including OneTab's storage. If Firefox ever gets a disk corruption, that could also cause data loss.
I'm very sorry this happened to you. We're working on cloud sync so in the future this can't happen.- Rated 2 out of 5by What???, 3 months agoI have same problem with this extension as other users where it would randomly wipe out my tabs. I noticed this on Chrome too.
