FocusMode does not collect, transmit, or share any data. All settings (blocked websites, blocked words, post-type preferences) are stored locally in your browser via the browser.storage.local API and never leave your device. The extension makes no network requests of any kind. Host permission for all websites is required solely so that user-configured site blocking and feed filtering can operate on the pages you choose; page content is never read for any other purpose, stored beyond the current page view, or sent anywhere.
