The best downloading add-on I've find for firefox

This downloader works really well for several sites. I highly recommend it.
I use it together with the download helper (that is suggested by the plug-in) on Linux.

Won't really download much anymore. The "add on companion app" is clearly a scam or virus because it doesn't actually work. This should be removed from the Add-Ons store.

I use to love it - still do but apparently I noticde that it is slowing down everything in my browser. Every player from Reddit, Facebook and other websites except youtube gets slowed down and it takes forever to get to HD quality. So I have to disable it until I need to download something again.
