touchgrass does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or analytics of any kind.

A. What the extension does:
1. Runs only on youtube.com / m.youtube.com pages.
2. Hides Shorts-related elements (home feed, search, sidebar, left nav) according to your toggle settings.
3. If enabled, redirects you back to https://www.youtube.com/ when you land on a /shorts/... URL.

B. Data handling:
Your four toggle settings are stored locally using the browser's built-in storage.sync API. This syncs only through your own browser account (Google Sync / Firefox Sync), the same mechanism used for your bookmarks or browser preferences. touchgrass's code never reads, transmits, or has access to this data outside the browser storage API itself.
touchgrass does not use any remote servers, analytics SDKs, or third-party scripts.
touchgrass does not read, log, or transmit page content, watch history, search queries, or any other personal information.
No data is ever sent off your device.

C. Permissions used, and why:
1. storage: Remember your toggle settings between sessions.
2. webNavigation: Detect Shorts URLs (including YouTube's client-side/SPA navigation) so they can be redirected before the page loads.
3. Host access to *.youtube.com: Required so the extension's content script and redirect logic can run on YouTube pages. touchgrass does not request access to any other site.
