    • On LinkedIn, a comment's badge now stays beside the commenter's name at the top of the comment. On comments that mention other people it could attach to a name inside the comment text, which read as crediting the wrong person. A post's byline now wins over any name mentioned in the post body.
    • One registration can now badge both a post and that post's own comment, instead of only the first one found.
    • Register another now clears every field on all three surfaces, so the next registration no longer starts with stale text.
    • Redesigned the text badge shown after registering, with the verification link on its own line.
    • A CTID pasted while you are still editing now shows its badge immediately, and busy feeds can no longer starve the page scan.

    Improved:

    Registering on Instagram now points out that Instagram never shows a link preview (caption links are not even clickable there), and highlights the text badge to paste into your caption, the same way YouTube registrations already do.

    Fixes:

    A CTID added to a post you had already been editing now shows its badge immediately. Editors update text in place, and the extension only noticed brand-new content, so a CTID pasted after a few seconds of editing was never seen at all: pasting it as the very first thing worked, pasting it after writing did not.
    Badges no longer take a long time to appear on busy pages, most visibly on X. The extension used to wait for the page to go quiet before scanning, and X never goes quiet (view counts and timers update constantly), so the wait could stretch indefinitely. A scan is now guaranteed at most two seconds after the last one, and the moment a CTID itself appears in any form the badge is placed immediately.

    • New My Content tab in the toolbar popup, next to Register Content. It lists your recent registrations with the origin, the platform, whether files are attached, and the date. One click opens the full record.
    • The View Trust Badge tab now works. It previously reported "No TIP data on this page" everywhere because the component that read a page's verification data never ran. It now checks the page when you open the tab and shows the author's verified badge.
    • That check runs only when you open the tab and is remembered for a few minutes, so it adds no background work and no unnecessary network use.
    • Badge fixes across feeds: badges no longer appear on reposts as a false mismatch, the HUMAN badge names the author rather than whoever reposted, badges stay out of the Like and Comment row, and a link posted in a comment badges only that comment.

    WHAT CHANGED IN THIS VERSION (2.9.7)
    1. Fixed the "View Trust Badge" tab, which had never worked. Its only data source was a chrome.webRequest.onHeadersReceived listener, but this add-on does not request the webRequest permission, so that listener never registered and the tab always reported "No TIP data on this page" regardless of the page. Rather than adding the webRequest permission (which would prompt every existing user to re-accept permissions and install a passive listener on all URLs), the tab now performs a one-off, user-initiated check of the current page. Details below.
    2. Added a "My Content" tab to the popup listing the user's own ten most recent registrations.
    No new permissions were added in this version. The permission set is unchanged from the previously reviewed version.

    • Verified badges are far more stable as you scroll and as feeds refresh. A badge that is already in the right place is left alone, and each badge now has a single owner, so badges no longer jump between posts.
    • On LinkedIn, a badge no longer lands inside the Like and Comment row and squeezes it. A post registered by its Share link is now matched, and cards in your profile Activity feed now show their badge.
    • On X, posting a new comment no longer moves a post's badge onto the wrong item, and a comment hidden behind "Show more" now gets its badge without needing to be expanded first.
    • On Instagram, a reel's badge no longer follows the scroll onto someone else's reel.
    • Content registered without a link no longer shows as unregistered, and it now resolves without a page reload.

    • You can now register your comments and replies. Pick "Comment / Reply" on any platform, paste the link of the post you replied to, and your comment text gets its own signed, permanent record. Where a platform gives comments their own link you can add it too, or later via Manage links.
    • Comments get the same protections as posts: links checked as you type, a minimum comment length, an optional image attachment, and a review step before signing that shows the post you replied to (it cannot be changed afterwards).
    • Where a platform gives comments no link of their own (most do not), the extension says so up front and never asks you to add a link that cannot exist.
    • After registering, the extension now offers the three ways to attach your verification link (before posting, by editing, or as a reply under your own post) instead of guessing which applies to you.
    • Added Rooverse (web.rooverse.app): register posts, images, multiple images, videos, and replies, and see verified badges on Rooverse posts whose first comment carries a CTID link.
    • The Settings page no longer opens the URL help panel while you are typing a link.

    • You can now edit the links on content you have already registered. Open "Manage links" from My Content or the registration success screen to add, remove, or reorder a record's post URLs. Your changes are signed, and your content's status and verification are unaffected. Available in Settings, the toolbar popup, and the in-page panel.
    • Links are checked as you type them: the extension flags a malformed or incomplete URL, a page it cannot reach, and a URL already registered to other content, before you sign.
    • You can now register on X, LinkedIn, and WeChat Moments without a post URL and add the link later, once the post is live. Every other platform still asks for the URL up front.
    • Clearer guidance for platforms that cannot be edited after posting (X, Threads, Truth Social, Bluesky, WeChat): register before you post, or add your verification link as the first reply.
