Privacy policy for TickerPop
TickerPop by Siddharth Bulia
TickerPop's single purpose is to display financial information for a ticker
symbol the user explicitly highlights. It collects no browsing history and no
page content. Market-data requests contain only the highlighted ticker symbol
or company name and go directly from the user's browser to Yahoo Finance
(quotes, charts, fundamentals) and Google News RSS (headlines). A static
status file is fetched from tickerpop.vercel.app (service-health banner and
welcome page); it carries no personal data. Watchlist, alerts and settings
live in the browser's own storage.sync, controlled by the user's account.
Anonymous feature-usage events (event name, extension version, a random
install identifier - never ticker symbols, URLs, or page content) can be sent
to PostHog (US cloud). On Firefox this is declared as optional
"technical and interaction data" - nothing is sent unless the user enables
the toggle in about:addons, and there is an additional off switch in the
extension's own Settings.
There are no accounts, no selling of data, and no AI processing of page
content. Full policy: https://tickerpop.vercel.app/privacy.html
