SubPulse for YouTube Privacy Policy
SubPulse for YouTube is designed to display and manage videos from the user's YouTube subscriptions.
Data accessed and transmitted
To provide its primary functionality, SubPulse communicates directly with YouTube using the YouTube/Google account session already signed into Firefox. These requests may include authentication cookies or other session information that Firefox normally sends to YouTube.
SubPulse retrieves information from the user's YouTube subscription feed, which may include video IDs, video titles, creator/channel names, thumbnail URLs, upload information, view counts, video duration, and whether a video is a standard video, Short, live stream, or upcoming stream.
This information is used only to display and manage the user's subscription feed inside SubPulse.
Local storage
SubPulse stores certain information locally in Firefox extension storage so the extension can function properly. This may include:
Extension settings and preferences
Cached subscription-feed information
Videos manually hidden by the user
Videos identified by SubPulse as watched
Sorting, filtering, refresh, and display preferences
This locally stored information is not sent to the developer.
No developer servers
SubPulse does not operate or communicate with any server controlled by the developer. Subscription information is retrieved directly from YouTube.
No analytics or advertising
SubPulse does not use analytics services, advertising networks, tracking services, telemetry services, or third-party marketing services.
No sale or sharing of user data
The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or share users' personal information or browsing information.
YouTube and Google
Communications between SubPulse and YouTube are necessary for the extension's primary functionality and are subject to Google's and YouTube's own privacy practices.
User control
Users can remove individual videos from SubPulse, restore hidden videos using the extension's settings, or remove SubPulse from Firefox. SubPulse does not modify the user's YouTube subscriptions or delete videos from YouTube.
Changes to this policy
If SubPulse's data-handling practices change in a future version, this privacy policy will be updated accordingly.
Questions regarding this privacy policy may be sent to the support email address listed on the SubPulse Firefox Add-ons page.
