WHAT THIS ADD-ON IS

This add-on is a sidebar frame around the Secret Chat AI web app (https://app.secret-chat.ai). It contains no content scripts, no analytics, no trackers and no advertising code. It does not read the pages you visit, your browsing history, your tabs, your bookmarks or your cookies, and it stores nothing of its own.

The add-on's only two functions are: (1) load the Secret Chat AI web app in the sidebar, and (2) open a link in a normal tab when the app asks it to, because our own website refuses to be displayed inside a frame. It acts on such a request only when it comes from https://app.secret-chat.ai and only for https:// addresses.

PERMISSIONS

The add-on requests access to exactly two hosts and no others:
- https://app.secret-chat.ai/ — the web app shown in the sidebar.
- https://gateway.secret-chat.ai/ — the API the app talks to.

These are required so that your signed-in session works inside the sidebar, where the app runs as a third-party frame. No other website is accessible to this add-on.

DATA HANDLED THROUGH THE APP

Using the app inside the sidebar is the same as using it in a browser tab, so the same handling applies. In short:

• Conversations. Your chats, projects, threads and uploaded files are stored locally in your own browser (IndexedDB and OPFS), not on our servers. There is no chat archive on our side and nobody here reads your conversations.
• Prompts in transit. A prompt does exist on our servers briefly — that is how the answer reaches you. It is deleted as soon as your browser collects the reply, and automatically within 24 hours if it never does. It is never indexed, never linked to your account and never used to train any model.
• Automated safety screening. Prompts pass an automated classifier before they are sent to an AI model. That is a machine check, not a person reading your chat.
• AI providers. To answer you, your prompt is sent to the AI provider you selected (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI or providers reached via OpenRouter) under contracts that prohibit training on your data.
• Account. Registration requires an email address only — no name, no phone number, no other personal details.
• Payments. Card payments are processed by Creem and crypto payments by Volet. We never receive or store full card numbers, security codes, private keys or seed phrases.
• Technical logs. IP addresses, timestamps and error codes are kept temporarily for security and troubleshooting, for a maximum of 30 days.

WHAT WE NEVER DO

We do not sell or rent your data, we do not show ads, we do not build behavioural profiles, we do not track you across the web, and we do not use your conversations to train AI models.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can access, export or delete your data, and delete your account, at any time from within the app. Because chats live in your browser, clearing the app's local data removes them permanently — we hold no copy to restore.
