- Zero Data Collection & Zero Telemetry
Right-Click Quick Searcher is built with a strict Privacy-First and Offline-First architecture:
• We do NOT collect, harvest, track, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII).
• We do NOT track your browsing history, searched queries, or keystrokes.
• We do NOT use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, or remote telemetry servers.
• We do NOT sell, trade, or monetize user data. - Local Storage & Preferences
All data created by the extension (including custom search engine configurations, categories, search groups, bubble size settings, and recent search logs) is stored strictly locally on your device using browser storage APIs (storage.sync and storage.local).
Search logs and history records are kept purely for user inspection inside the extension popup and never leave your local browser instance. - Permissions Use
• contextMenus: Used exclusively to create right-click search options for highlighted text.
• storage: Used to save your custom search engines, hotkeys, and UI preferences locally.
• content_scripts: Used solely to detect highlighted text on web pages in order to display the optional floating quick-search bubble and listen for selection shortcuts. - Third-Party Search Engines
When you execute a search, the extension opens a new browser tab navigating directly to the selected search provider (such as Google, Wikipedia, YouTube, or DuckDuckGo). Your interaction with those search engines is subject to their respective privacy policies. - Contact & Support
