Privacy Policy — Prayer Times Reminder

Prayer Times Reminder is committed to your privacy. This extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Data collection
The extension collects nothing. It does not gather your name, email, location history, browsing history, or any identifying information. It uses no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, no cookies, and no fingerprinting. It does not read web pages you visit, requires no account or login, and shares no data with any third party.
Local storage
The only data the extension stores lives on your device in your browser's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local):
- Your chosen city and its coordinates — to fetch correct prayer times
- Your calculation and reminder preferences — to honor your settings
- Today's cached prayer schedule — to display times instantly and work offline
This data never leaves your device and is automatically removed when you uninstall the extension.
Network requests
The extension makes two minimal requests, only when needed:
1. Aladhan API — to calculate prayer times from your city's coordinates.
2. Open-Meteo Geocoding API — to return city suggestions while you type in the search box.
Requests contain only coordinates and preferences — never personal data. There is no background or periodic transmission.
Notifications
Prayer reminders use your browser's local notifications and alarms APIs. Nothing is transmitted.
Third-party sharing
None. The extension does not sell, rent, trade, or share any data with anyone.
Changes
Any revision to this policy will be posted here with an updated effective date.
