Kobadi Privacy Policy — K Copy Helper

K Copy Helper is a user-controlled browser extension for copy/paste workflows and for moving files between a user's K Print / K Files account and a ChatGPT or Claude conversation. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Data handled by K Copy Helper

When you choose Add Account, the extension sends the username or email and password that you enter to kobadi.com over HTTPS only to verify the K Print account and register the browser as a K Print device. The extension does not store the password. After successful verification, the service returns a restricted, revocable device token, which the extension stores locally so it can reconnect without asking for the account password each time.

When you use K Print or K Files features, the extension may process file names, file metadata, and the contents of files you explicitly choose to upload, download, delete, or attach. Those files are exchanged with your K Print / K Files account on kobadi.com. A file is attached to ChatGPT or Claude only after you use a Send/Attach action from the corresponding workflow.

Copy and Paste actions may access the current page and the system clipboard after a user action. Clipboard and page content used by these actions is processed to perform the requested action and is not sent to Kobadi for advertising or analytics.

Browser access

The extension requests access to chatgpt.com and claude.ai so it can add the K Print interface and attach files selected by the user to the corresponding open conversation. It requests access to kobadi.com so it can communicate with K Print / K Files and the authenticated K Print web interface. Other page access is limited to user-triggered actions allowed by the browser's active-tab permission.

Local storage

The extension may store its theme, window size, active K Print profile, a browser-client identifier, cached K Print UI information, and the restricted device token in browser extension storage. This data is used only to provide the extension's features.

Sharing and use

Kobadi uses extension data only to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the user-facing K Copy Helper, K Print, and K Files functions requested by the user. Kobadi does not sell extension user data or use it for targeted advertising.

Account credentials and K Print device tokens are sent only to Kobadi and are not shared with ChatGPT/OpenAI or Claude/Anthropic. When the user explicitly chooses a Send/Attach action in a ChatGPT workflow, the selected file is provided to the ChatGPT interface on chatgpt.com. When the user explicitly chooses a Send/Attach action in a Claude workflow, the selected file is provided to the Claude interface on claude.ai. Each transfer is then subject to the user's account and service terms for that destination.

Retention and control

K Print / K Files content remains subject to the user's account storage and deletion controls. A connected browser device can be revoked or deleted through K Print device management. Removing the extension removes its local extension storage from that browser according to the browser's normal extension-removal behavior.

Security

Network communication used by K Copy Helper with Kobadi is sent over HTTPS. Account passwords are used only during account verification and are not stored by the extension.

Changes

If the extension's data practices materially change, this policy will be updated and store disclosures will be updated to match the extension's behavior.
