HVC Hangar Sync - Privacy Policy

IN SHORT
The extension reads the names and quantities of the ships listed on your
own Roberts Space Industries pledges pages, shows you the list, and only
if you approve it, sends it to the Hyperion Vanguard Corporation website
so your organisation's shared hangar reflects what you own. It reads
nothing else, sends it nowhere else, and does not run unless you press
the button.

WHAT IT READS
Ship names and quantities, from the rows RSI marks as ships, on these two
page patterns and no others:

Reading the page requires running a small function inside it. That
function is read-only: no clicks, no scrolling, no form submission, and
no change of any kind to the page.

WHAT IT DOES NOT READ
It does not read or transmit prices, order numbers, purchase dates, gift
status, billing details, payment methods, your email address, your name,
your address, or any account setting.
It never sees your RSI password or credentials. It uses the RSI session
already signed in to your own browser, exactly as if you had opened the
page yourself. It does not read cookies or authentication tokens.
It has no access to any other website, to your browsing history, or to
your other tabs. It records no clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement or
analytics of any kind.

WHERE IT GOES
The approved ship list is sent to the HVC website and stored against your
member account. That is the only destination, and the extension is
technically restricted to talking to that site alone, so no other website
can ask it for anything. Nothing is sent to any third party. There are no
analytics services, no advertising networks and no external servers. Your
data is never sold and never shared for any purpose unrelated to filling
in your hangar.

WHAT THE EXTENSION STORES ON YOUR COMPUTER
Only the progress of a sync that is currently running, held in memory and
cleared when you close your browser. It is never written to disk.

WHAT THE WEBSITE KEEPS, AND FOR HOW LONG
Your ship list is visible to other members of HVC - that is its purpose.
You may instead choose to be counted anonymously: your ships still add to
the organisation's totals, but your name is withheld from everybody,
including officers.

Ships are archived rather than deleted. When a new sync replaces your
pledged list, and when you remove a ship by hand, the old record is
marked inactive and kept rather than erased. It stops appearing in your
hangar and stops counting toward any total. The organisation keeps this
history so it can answer questions such as "what could we field in
March". If you want your hangar history erased outright rather than
archived, ask an administrator and it will be done.

CHILDREN
Intended for members of a Star Citizen organisation and not directed at
children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from them.

CHANGES
If what the extension reads or sends ever changes, this policy changes in
the same update and the date above moves. The extension will not silently
begin collecting anything not described here.
