Version 2.0.0
Released Aug 12, 2026 - 283.22 KBWorks with firefox 128.0 and later, android 128.0 and laterVersion 2.0.0 is a complete rewrite. The headline change: undoing a mute is no longer a blanket
unmute.
RESTORE, INSTEAD OF UNMUTE ALL
Discord Quiet now records the notification state of every server before it mutes anything, so
"Restore previous state" puts each server back to the setting it actually had. The servers you had
muted on purpose stay muted, mentions only stays mentions only, and @everyone suppression
survives. Up to 10 snapshots are kept, on your device.
Version 1 could only switch everything back on, which quietly wiped every setting you had chosen
by hand.
WATCH THE RUN HAPPEN
Live progress with one tile per server, in the toolbar popup or in the Firefox sidebar. A new
options page lets you set how fast a run is paced.
RUNS SURVIVE INTERRUPTION
Close the popup, close the browser, or hit one of Discord's rate limits, and the job continues
from where it stopped instead of dying half-applied. No change is ever applied twice.
PACED AGAINST DISCORD'S RATE LIMITS
Version 1 sent requests as fast as it could. Version 2 reads Discord's rate-limit replies and
waits exactly as long as it is told to.
YOUR TOKEN IS HANDLED BETTER
It is now held in session memory only, never written to disk, and erased when you close the
browser.
FIRST RUN ASKS YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE DISCORD'S TERMS
Discord's Terms of Service prohibit automating a user account, and accounts that automate can be
terminated. The add-on now says so and asks you to accept before it will do anything.
Version 1 saved nothing to your browser, so there is nothing to migrate, and your Discord
notification settings are untouched by the update itself.
