    Version 1.3.7

    Released Jul 27, 2026 - 37.04 KB
Works with firefox 109.0 and later
    • Added an adjustable flash sensitivity slider.
    • Sensitivity can be set from 1 to 5 flashes per second.
    • The default remains 3 flashes per second.
    • Lower values make detection react sooner, while higher values make it less sensitive.
    • Flash-brightness settings can now be adjusted in 1% increments.
    • Added a guided brightness calibration tool.
    • The test starts with the page fully dimmed and gradually increases brightness.
    • Users can stop the test as soon as the brightness becomes uncomfortable.
    • CalmWeb saves a level 5 percentage points below the selected limit as a safety margin.
    • The calibration does not deliberately generate flashing content.
    • Added clear warnings explaining that the calibration is a comfort aid, not a medical test.
    • Fixed an issue where brightness calibration could temporarily freeze.
    • Fixed cases where the page could unexpectedly return to full brightness while the displayed percentage remained unchanged.
    • Brightness transitions now run directly inside the webpage instead of depending on continuous popup messages.
    • The calibration continues from the correct point after a temporary browser or interface delay.
    • Removed the old preview timeout that could interrupt brightness changes.
    • Closing or cancelling calibration now removes the temporary dimming layer correctly.
    • Added a safety notice that opens when CalmWeb is installed.
    • The notice explains that CalmWeb is intended to help but should not be relied on as the user’s only protection.
    • It warns that features may occasionally respond late or stop working because of browser limitations, website changes, extension errors, high system load or other unexpected problems.
    • Users are advised to continue using their normal safety measures and leave content that feels unsafe.
    • The extension popup remains locked until the notice is acknowledged.
    • The I understand button remains disabled for 10 seconds.
    • A visible countdown shows when the button will become available.
    • Closing the installation notice does not bypass the acknowledgement requirement.
    • The acknowledgement is stored locally and is not requested again during normal browser restarts.
