Privacy policy for Bulk Image Downloader
Bulk Image Downloader by Farman Ashfaq
Bulk Image Downloader ("the extension") is built with a simple principle: your data belongs on your device, not on our servers — because we don't have any. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and does not do with your information.
In short: The extension does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Everything it does happens locally, inside your own browser.
What the extension does
Bulk Image Downloader allows you to scan the webpage you are currently viewing, preview the images found on that page as thumbnails, select the ones you want, and save them to your device.
What data is accessed, and why
The extension only reads information from the webpage in order to perform its core function — finding and downloading images. This access happens only when you actively click the extension icon.
activeTab: Lets the extension read image elements from the tab you have open when you click the icon.
scripting: Injects a small script into the active page, on your request only, to detect image URLs.
downloads: Saves the images you select to your device's downloads folder.
Host permission (all sites): Allows the extension to work on any website you choose to use it on, rather than a limited list of sites.
What we do NOT do
We do not collect or store personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
We do not track your browsing history or activity across websites
We do not use analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting services
We do not use cookies
We do not transmit any data to external servers — the extension has no backend or server component
We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties, advertisers, or data brokers
We do not access passwords, payment details, or authentication information
Where your data goes
Nowhere. Image URLs detected on a page are held temporarily in the extension's popup, only for the duration of that session, so you can preview and select them. Once you close the popup, that data is discarded. Selected images are downloaded directly from their original source URL straight to your device using Chrome's built-in download system — the extension itself never receives, stores, or forwards the image files.
Third-party services
The extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services. No data leaves your browser at any point.
Children's privacy
The extension does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data at all.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's functionality changes in a way that affects data handling, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect the change. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
