About this extension
AutoFurigana adds reading guides above Japanese kanji, making websites easier to read for Japanese learners and anyone encountering unfamiliar kanji.
AutoFurigana works entirely offline. Its package includes the Kuromoji Japanese-language processor and an IPADIC dictionary, which occupies approximately 17 MB inside the unpacked extension.
These files are included in the add-on downloaded from Mozilla during installation and updates. AutoFurigana does not download a dictionary or contact an external server while it is running.
All Japanese text is processed locally inside Firefox. Page content, browsing activity, settings, and readings are never transmitted by AutoFurigana.
There is no analytics, telemetry, advertising, tracking, or data collection.
AutoFurigana is developed by TapSolve and released under the MIT License.
